Deploys to Amazon CloudFront temporarily disabled

Due to recent changes by Amazon CloudFront which you can read about here, adding custom domains to Amazon now requires that we hold a valid SSL Certificate for the domain before applying for the CloudFront CDN service to host it.

Deploys to Amazon CloudFront are temporarily disabled until we build out new functionality to work with these new requirements that Amazon has introduced.

We’re currently working on an updated deployment routine which will do the following:

  • Create a DNS Zone with Amazon for your domain and provide you with name servers.
  • Monitor the domain and then request an SSL Certificate once you’ve set the name servers.
  • Once the certificate is issued, we’ll then deploy the CDN and update the DNS records to include the CDN endpoint.

The upside to this change is that it will now allow us to deploy SSL sites to Amazon, but it will take us a little bit of time to implement all of these changes.
